PNP rank pay table (2026 base pay)
The Philippine National Police is a military and uniformed personnel (MUP) service. It does not use the civilian Salary Grade schedule — it follows the MUP Base Pay Schedule, whose first EO 107 tranche took effect on 1 January 2026.

Why the PNP uses base pay, not Salary Grade
This is the most common confusion about police pay. Civilian employees are paid by Salary Grade under EO 64; uniformed personnel are paid by rank under a separate Base Pay Schedule. The two systems are not comparable grade for grade — a Police Lieutenant's ₱52,004 base pay is set by the MUP schedule, not by any SG number.
EO 107 raises MUP base pay by about 15% in total over three tranches: 5% on 1 January 2026, then again on 1 January 2027 and 1 January 2028. A Patrolman's base pay goes from ₱29,668 (2025) to ₱31,151 (2026), ₱32,634 (2027) and ₱34,119 (2028).
Allowances on top of base pay
- PERA — ₱2,000/month
- Subsistence allowance — ₱350/day from 1 January 2026 (EO 107; it was ₱150)
- Hazard pay, longevity pay and quarters/clothing allowances
- Mid-year and year-end bonuses plus the ₱5,000 cash gift
How to become a Patrolman: the NAPOLCOM exam
Appointment as Patrolman or Patrolwoman needs police eligibility from the NAPOLCOM PNP Entrance Exam — a 3-hour test with a 70% pass mark, open to bachelor's degree holders aged 21 to 30 on exam day. NAPOLCOM held it in April and October in 2025 and 2026; the 2027 dates aren't announced yet.
Aiming for Police Lieutenant (₱52,004)? PNPA graduates are commissioned at that rank, and entry to the PNPA is through its own Cadet Admission Test.
