PNP Salary 2026: Patrolman to Police General

A PNP Patrolman/Patrolwoman earns ₱31,151 per month in base pay in 2026 — up from ₱29,668 in 2025 under Executive Order No. 107 (s. 2025), which grants military and uniformed personnel (MUP) a 15% base-pay increase across three tranches: ₱31,151 in 2026, ₱32,634 in 2027, and ₱34,119 in 2028. The most senior rank, Police General, earns ₱157,274 per month. PNP pay follows a separate MUP Base Pay Schedule — not the civilian Salary Standardization Law — plus allowances like PERA, subsistence, and hazard pay.

2026 base pay by rank

These are the first-tranche (1 January 2026) base pay figures under EO 107. PNP ranks are not keyed to civilian SG levels — they use the MUP base pay schedule below.

Police officer (enlisted) ranks

Rank2026 monthly base pay

Police Brigadier General₱95,611

How the 15% increase rolls out (2026–2028)

EO 107 updates the base pay in three equal tranches. For an entry-level Patrolman:

YearMonthly base pay
2025 (old rate)₱29,668
2026 (1st tranche)₱31,151
2027 (2nd tranche)₱32,634
2028 (3rd tranche)₱34,119

Every rank rises by the same 15% over the three tranches.

Plus allowances

Base pay is only part of take-home. PNP personnel also receive:

  • PERA (Personnel Economic Relief Allowance): ₱2,000/month
  • Subsistence allowance: increased under EO 107 to ₱350/day (~₱10,500/month)
  • Hazard pay / combat duty pay: variable, for hazardous or combat assignments
  • Longevity pay: 10% of base every 5 years of service
  • Clothing allowance: ~₱1,200/month
  • 13th-month + mid-year bonus: roughly 2 months' base annually
  • Year-end cash gift: ₱5,000
  • Free PNP medical (lifetime + dependents)
  • GSIS retirement (very significant for MUP)
  • Tuition subsidy for dependents (PCAP programme)

Approximate all-in monthly take-home (base + standard allowances, before hazard pay):

  • Entry-level Patrolman: ~₱43,000-₱48,000/month
  • Police Lieutenant: ~₱65,000-₱75,000/month
  • Police Colonel: ~₱100,000-₱115,000/month

Career advancement

Mandatory retirement at age 56 regardless of rank.

Standard enlisted track timeline:

  • Year 0: Patrolman (after FTOC 6 months)
  • Year 3-5: Police Corporal
  • Year 6-10: Police Staff Sergeant
  • Year 11-15: Police Master Sergeant
  • Year 15+: Senior Master Sergeant and above

Officer track (PNPA or lateral entry):

  • Year 0: Police Lieutenant
  • Year 3-5: Police Captain
  • Year 6-10: Police Major
  • Year 11-16: Police Lieutenant Colonel
  • Year 17-22: Police Colonel
  • Year 22+: Brigadier General and above (selective)

Lifetime value

For a 30-year career retiring as Colonel (figures are estimates on current rates):

  • Cumulative basic pay + bonuses: roughly ₱25-₱40 million
  • MUP retirement pension: indexed to active-duty pay and among the most generous in government — a retired Colonel draws roughly ₱60,000-₱85,000/month for life.
