UP combines your standardized UPCAT scores with the composite of your final grades in Grades 8–11 into the University Predicted Grade, on UP's scale where 1.00 is best and 5.00 is lowest.
UP doesn't publish the formula, so this calculator makes its assumptions visible: your grade average is placed on the 1.00–5.00 scale in a straight line (100% → 1.00, 75% → 3.00), your UPCAT percentile the same way (100th → 1.00, 0 → 5.00), and the two are blended with the weighting you chose.
Treat the result as a planning aid. Only UP's Office of Admissions computes your real UPG, and admission also depends on the campuses and programmes you listed and their slots.

What is the UPG?
UPG stands for University Predicted Grade. UP combines your standardized UPCAT scores with the composite of your final grades in Grades 8, 9, 10 and 11 into one admission score on UP's grading scale, where 1.00 is best and 5.00 is lowest.
How is the UPG calculated?
UP doesn't publish the formula or how much the UPCAT counts against your grades. The "60% UPCAT, 40% grades" split you'll see online doesn't come from UP. This calculator blends your two inputs with a weighting you choose, so you can see how much the unknown weighting moves the result.
What UPG do I need to get into UP Diliman?
UP doesn't publish UPG cutoffs for any campus or programme. Whether you qualify depends on your UPG, the campuses and degree programmes you listed, and how many slots each has. For scale: 18,350 of 147,437 examinees (12.44%) qualified in UPCAT 2026, and 17,996 of 135,236 (about 13.3%) the year before.
Can I still improve my UPG after taking the UPCAT?
Not really. The UPG uses your UPCAT scores and your final grades in Grades 8 to 11, and both are set by the time you sit the test. Each person can take the UPCAT only once.
When is the next UPCAT?
UPCAT 2027 (for AY 2027–28) was held on 1–2 August 2026, with about 153,000 examinees; results are expected in the first half of 2027 (the last two cycles were released on 22 April). UP hasn't announced the UPCAT 2028 schedule yet — in recent cycles applications opened in March and the test ran on the first weekend of August.
