BFP path:

BJMP path:

  • Jail Officer I (enlisted) → Jail Officer II → Senior Jail Officer ranks → Officer ranks
  • Specialisations: jail intelligence, rehabilitation, women's facility, juvenile

Salary identical

Both follow the identical MUP Base Pay Schedule (EO 107, s. 2025) — the same one PNP and AFP use, not the civilian SSL. Entry Fire/Jail Officer I: ₱31,151/month base in 2026, rising to Fire/Jail Director at ₱108,041. Full tables in the BFP salary guide and BJMP salary guide.

  • Interest in social/criminology work

Limited cross-transfer between BFP and BJMP. Each service has its own entrance exam, training, and career track.
