Frequently Asked Questions
How soon can I retake a PRC licensure exam?
At the next sitting you can still file for. Most PRC exams run twice a year, some once. Some boards add waiting rules after repeated failures — for example, one year's rest after three failures for Mechanical and Geodetic Engineering. PRC hasn't published its 2027 schedule yet, so 2027 sittings show only the expected month.
Do I retake every subject?
It depends on the board's law. NLE takers whose average passed but who scored under 60% in a test retake only that test; Criminology gives a deferred retake of the low subject; CPA gives conditional credit for the subjects you passed; ECE allows one removal exam. Most other boards require the whole exam again.
How do I apply for the retake?
The same way as the first time: through PRC's LERIS system (or CSC's and NAPOLCOM's own systems for their exams), within the filing window. Some boards ask repeaters for different documents — see the PRC requirements checklist.
Should I work while I review for the retake?
If you can, protect a fixed number of hours each week and plan around them. The planner splits whatever hours you enter across the weeks you have.
