Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need notarisation in advance?
Yes — PRC won't accept the application without a notarised sworn declaration. Notary fees are ~₱100–200 at SM Business Centers or any local notary public; budget 30 minutes for the appointment.
Can I apply if my TOR is delayed?
PRC accepts a Certified True Copy of Grades plus a temporary certification while your school finalises the TOR. You'll need to submit the actual TOR before exam day.
What if my photo is rejected?
Most rejections are due to wrong size, missing name tag, or non-white background. Studios near PRC offices specialise in PRC-compliant photos for ₱150–250. Get extras.
Do I need original or photocopy?
Both — PRC verifies originals on submission and keeps the photocopies. Bring originals plus 2 photocopies of every document.
How early should I gather everything?
Start 6 weeks before the application deadline. PSA documents alone take 2–3 weeks if requested by mail. NBI clearance (some boards require it) takes a week.
