Frequently Asked Questions
Why are NLE and LET cheaper than CPALE?
PRC sets exam fees based on subject volume and grading complexity. CPALE has 7 subjects graded individually; NLE and LET have fewer overall items. Application fees are uniform across boards.
Is the oath-taking fee mandatory?
Yes — you can't get your professional licence without paying it. Oath-taking happens 4–8 weeks after results release.
What about review centre + transport?
Those are separate budgets. Review centres run ₱18,000–35,000 per cycle; transport + lodging if you're testing in another region adds ₱2,000–8,000. The PRC fees we calculate here are just the regulatory cost of taking the exam.
Are there discounts for retakers?
No — re-takers pay the full application + exam fee again. The oath fee + ID fee are only paid once if you eventually pass.
What's documentary stamp + notarisation?
Each PRC application form needs ₱30 in documentary stamp tax and ~₱100–200 in notary fees. We list this as an optional row because most candidates handle it themselves at SM Business Centers.
Save the bigger budget — review costs
Most reviewers spend ₱20–35k on a review centre. Super Tutor's All-Access (₱2,999/year) covers the same review window for under 10% of that.
