What the real NAPOLCOM PNP Entrance Exam covers
The PNP Entrance Examination is given by the National Police Commission. Passing it gives the eligibility needed for appointment as Patrolman/Patrolwoman in the Philippine National Police. It tests reasoning and general information rather than a course, so steady practice moves the score.
The four areas (3 hours, pen and paper)

Passing mark
A rating of at least 70%. Only 9,224 of 38,022 examinees (24.26%) passed in April 2026, so aim well above the mark.

18 October 2026 (registration closed 21 August). The first 2027 sitting is expected in April, not yet announced.
A study plan that works
- Diagnose first. Take this test and note your weakest areas — the 70% is one overall rating, so one weak area can pull you under.
- Drill logical reasoning. Syllogisms, series and deductive patterns get faster with practice.
- Bank quantitative points. Percentages, ratio, number series and word problems reward short daily drills.
- Don't skip General Information. The Constitution and PNP laws are learnable, high-yield facts.
- Practise to the real time limit. The exam runs 3 hours — build the pace before exam day.

What is the passing score for the NAPOLCOM PNP Entrance Exam?
70%. Passing gives you the eligibility needed for appointment as Patrolman/Patrolwoman; PNP recruitment itself is a separate process with its own requirements, such as the height standard of 1.57 m for men and 1.52 m for women. Recent pass rates were 24–35%: 24.26% in April 2026.
What does the NAPOLCOM exam cover?
It's a 3-hour, pen-and-paper multiple-choice test in four areas: General Information/Uprightness (the Constitution, PNP laws, the criminal justice system, social awareness and values), Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning and Logical Reasoning. NAPOLCOM doesn't publish the number of items.
When is the next NAPOLCOM exam?
The second 2026 PNP Entrance Exam is on 18 October 2026 (registration closed on 21 August). NAPOLCOM usually holds the first sitting of the year in April; the 2027 dates haven't been announced.
Who can take the PNP Entrance Exam?
Civilian applicants must be 21 to 30 years old on the day of the exam and hold a bachelor's degree. The fee is ₱400.
How accurate is this readiness score?
It reflects a 20-question sample (6 logical, 5 verbal, 5 quantitative, 4 general information). It's an honest snapshot of your current level and weak areas — not NAPOLCOM's computation. Use it to decide where to focus.
