Which salary table applies in 2026?
The third tranche of Executive Order No. 64 (s. 2024), in force since 1 January 2026 and implemented by DBM National Budget Circular No. 601. The fourth and final tranche takes effect on 1 January 2027 — SG 11 rises from ₱31,705 to ₱33,387. No new salary standardization law has been passed for 2027 or later.
What's the difference between Salary Grade and step?
The Salary Grade is set by your position. Steps 1 to 8 are in-grade increases within that grade, mostly for years of satisfactory service in the same position. New hires start at Step 1.
Is this what I take home?
No — it's monthly basic pay. Civilian employees also get ₱2,000 PERA a month, while GSIS (9% of basic), PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG and withholding tax come off. LGUs may pay a lower percentage of the schedule depending on their income class.
What bonuses do government employees get?
A mid-year bonus (one month's basic pay, in May) and a year-end bonus (one month's basic pay plus a ₱5,000 cash gift, in November) — the year-end bonus is government's 13th month pay, not an extra one. Teachers also get a ₱10,000 yearly teaching allowance under RA 11997.
Do police, soldiers, firefighters and jail officers use this table?
No. The AFP, PNP, BFP and BJMP are paid on a separate uniformed-personnel base pay schedule (EO 107, s. 2025). A Patrolman, Private, Fire Officer I or Jail Officer I earns ₱31,151 a month in 2026 — see the PNP and AFP rank tools.
How do I qualify for a government post?
Permanent posts in the career service need civil service eligibility. The Civil Service Exam Professional level qualifies you for first- and second-level posts (except those that need a professional licence); Subprofessional for first-level posts only. Licensed professionals get eligibility from their board exam.
