PSA Birth Certificate

Official birth certificate issued by Philippine Statistics Authority — required for major government applications.

PSA Birth Certificate is the official birth record issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (formerly NSO). Universal requirement for major PHL government applications.

  • SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG enrollment
  • Marriage certificate application
  • College admission
  • Government job applications
  • Immigration applications

How to get one:

  • Online: PSA Helpline (psahelpline.ph) or Census Online
  • In-person: PSA branches nationwide
  • Cost: ₱155 (regular) — including delivery
  • Processing: 3-10 working days online; same-day at PSA outlets

Latest version recommended:

  • Always order latest copy (not photocopy)
  • Validity: 6 months for most applications
  • Foreign use: requires apostille from DFA

  • Some applications require "PSA-authenticated" specifically (the standard PSA copy is this)
