Philippine Passport is issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). You need it for:
- International travel
- OFW deployment
- Foreign visa applications
Application:
- Book an appointment through DFA's official passport appointment system
- Bring your PSA birth certificate and a valid government ID (first-time applicants), or your current passport (renewals)
- Your photo and biometrics are taken at the appointment
- DFA offers regular and expedited processing — check passport.gov.ph for current fees and processing times
Validity (RA 10928): 10 years for adults, 5 years for applicants under 18.
What it means for you:
- Renew early — many countries require at least six months of validity left
- Report a lost passport and follow DFA's replacement process
