PUPCET in 3 Months: The Standard Prep Plan

Most PUPCET candidates start preparing 3 months before their scheduled exam. This is the standard prep window — long enough to cover scope, short enough to maintain focus.

This post is the realistic 12-week plan that the PUPCET 2026 pillar guide hands off to.

The realistic time budget

A 12-week prep at:

  • 1.5 hours per weekday × 5 days = 7.5 hours
  • 4 hours each weekend day × 2 days = 8 hours
  • Total per week: 15.5 hours
  • Total across 12 weeks: 186 hours

That's enough for most candidates to reach competitive composite scores (70+ on average), even allowing for missed sessions.

Week-by-week structure

WeekFocusHours
1Diagnostic mock + topic-gap identification + first foundations12
2Math: arithmetic + algebra basics16
3Math: word problems + geometry; English daily reading habit starts16
4Math: trig + statistics; English grammar drilling16
5Mid-cycle full mock; remediation focus16
6Science: biology + earth science16
7Science: chemistry conceptual + periodic table16
8Science: physics mechanics; English RC passage drilling16
9Sub-test mocks (rotate)16
10Abstract reasoning practice + targeted weak-topic drilling16
11Test-conditions full mock + remediation16
12Light review + last full mock + rest12

Daily structure

Weekday template (1.5 hours):

DayFocus
MondayMath drilling
TuesdayScience drilling
WednesdayEnglish grammar / vocabulary
ThursdayRC passage practice
FridayMixed review or rest

Weekend template (4 hours each day):

DayFocus
Saturday morningMock or extended drilling on weakest area
Sunday morningMock review + remediation planning

Daily reading habit

Throughout all 12 weeks: one English editorial per day from a major Philippine paper. Builds vocabulary and RC speed simultaneously. Non-negotiable.

Realistic outcome

For a candidate running 15 hours per week consistently:

Diagnostic baselineRealistic test-day composite
5065-72
6070-77
7075-82
8080-86

If your diagnostic is below 45, consider extending to 16 weeks of prep or accept that competitive Sta Mesa programmes may be a stretch.

When to compress further

If you have less than 3 months — say, 6 weeks — the plan compresses:

  • Weeks 1-2: Math algebra + biology (highest yield)
  • Weeks 3-4: Math word problems + chemistry conceptual + English grammar
  • Week 5: Mock + remediation on hardest topics
  • Week 6: Test-conditions mock + light review

Realistic gain at 15 hours/week for 6 weeks: 8-12 composite points.

Where Super Tutor fits

Super Tutor's PUPCET track follows the 12-week sequence above. Free tier covers algebra and biology; the Focused plan (₱49/week, ₱249/month, ₱1,999/year) opens the rest plus mocks.

For a 3-month plan, monthly billing (₱249 × 3 = ₱747) typically lands cheaper than a single weekend at a review centre.
