Frequently Asked Questions

Where does the data come from?

PRC and CSC publish per-cycle pass rates and (sometimes) mean ratings; we approximate the rest of the curve with a normal fit. It's directional, not exact — treat the band, not the precise number, as the signal.

NLE has a 55% pass rate so a 75% rating is roughly the median. CSE Pro has a 12% pass rate so 75% would be top-quartile. Same number, very different competition.

Top 25% (75th+) means you've cleared with margin and could be a topnotcher candidate with a few more weeks of work. Top 5% (95th+) is solid topnotcher territory.

We don't have access to the published rank list per cycle, only summary stats. For exact rank, look up your published board results once PRC releases them.

Yes — pair with the Retake Planner. If your last cycle was at the 60th percentile, you need ~2 percentage points of improvement to clear most boards. If you were at the 30th, plan a longer review.
