Subject titles and weights follow PRC's 2026 exam programmes. The pass rule is the Board of Civil Engineering's long-standing practice; it isn't written into RA 544 itself.

A weighted average of at least 70% with no subject below 50%. A subject under 50% fails the exam even when the average passes.
How is the CELE weighted?
Principles of Structural Analysis and Design 35% (day 1, 6 hours); Applied Mathematics, Surveying, Principles of Transportation and Highway Engineering, and Construction Management and Methods 35% (day 2 morning, 5 hours); Hydraulics and Principles of Geotechnical Engineering 30% (day 2 afternoon, 4 hours).
How many CELE takers pass?
In March 2026, 6,438 of 18,370 examinees passed (35.05%); in November 2025, 30.39%; in April 2025, 29.21%.
When is the next CELE?
26–27 September 2026, with results targeted for 2 October 2026 (filing closed on 12 August). The first 2027 sitting hasn't been announced — PRC hasn't published its 2027 schedule yet.
