What is the CELE passing rating?

The PRC Civil Engineering Board sets the passing rating at 70% weighted average across the three subjects, with no subject below 50%. Fail either rule and the overall result is a fail.

Mathematics, Surveying and Transportation Engineering (MSTE) 35%, Hydraulics and Geotechnical Engineering (HGE) 30%, and Structural Engineering and Construction (SEC) 35%. These have been stable across recent PRC cycles.

Twice a year — typically May and November. Application windows open 2–3 months ahead of each exam. Check prc.gov.ph for the current cycle.

National passing rates run 30–45% depending on cycle. Most passers score 72–78%. Target at least 75% weighted on mocks, with no subject under 60%, to build a safety buffer.
