PhLE Pharmacy Board 2026: Format and Subjects

The Pharmacist Licensure Examination (PhLE) is the PRC board exam for pharmacists in PHL.

What PhLE tests

6 subjects across 2-3 days:

  1. Pharmacy Practice (RA 10918, RA 9165, related laws)
  2. Pharmaceutical Chemistry
  3. Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapeutics
  4. Pharmaceutics
  5. Pharmacognosy + Plant Chemistry
  6. Quality Assurance / Quality Control + Drug Microbiology

Each subject 2.5-4 hours, ~50-100 items.

Pass criteria

  • Weighted average ≥ 75
  • No subject below 50

PhLE pass rate

National pass rate ~70-85% — among the higher PRC board pass rates.
