PhLE Pharmacy Board: Format, Subjects and Passing Rule
The Pharmacist Licensure Examination (PhLE) is PRC's licensure exam for pharmacists under RA 10918. It runs twice a year. The next PhLE is on October 15–16, 2026 (filing closes September 29); PRC targets releasing results on October 21, 2026.
The format
Six subjects over two days, paper-based, per PRC's October 2026 program:

The passing rule
You pass with a 75% general weighted average and no subject below 50% (RA 10918, Sec. 17).
Recent pass rates
PRC's last three results: 60.30% (April 2025), 80.57% (November 2025) and 57.26% (April 2026).

Pharmaceutical Chemistry: organic and medicinal chemistry, functional groups, structure-activity relationships, drug metabolism.
Pharmacognosy and Biochemistry: medicinal plants and their constituents, alkaloids and glycosides, biomolecules.
Practice of Pharmacy: dispensing, community and hospital practice, pharmaceutical care.
Pharmacology and Pharmacokinetics: drug classes by system, mechanisms, adverse effects, interactions, ADME.
Pharmaceutics (with Jurisprudence and Ethics): dosage forms, compounding, calculations, biopharmaceutics, plus pharmacy laws and the code of ethics.
Quality Control and Quality Assurance: compendial standards, analytical methods, sterility and microbial testing, stability.
