MLE Midwifery Pass Rate: What the PRC Results Show
Over the last three sittings, between 42% and 58% of MLE examinees passed.

For all of 2025, that's 7,180 examinees and 4,127 passers (about 57.5%). The April 2026 sitting was smaller and had a much lower rate. These are overall figures for all examinees, first-timers and repeaters together.

What the passing rule means for your review
You need a 75% general rating and no subject below 50% (RA 7392 Sec. 16), across five subjects: Obstetrics, Fundamentals of Health Care, Infant Care and Feeding, Primary Health Care, and Professional Growth and Development.
What that means in practice:
- You can't drop a subject. A weak Professional Growth and Development score can undo a strong Obstetrics score.
- The basic sciences are everywhere. Anatomy and physiology, microbiology, pharmacology and nutrition are integrated into all five subjects, so gaps there cost points across the board.
- Memorization subjects reward steady drilling. DOH programs, the EPI schedule and the laws are easier to fix with daily flashcards than with cramming.
- Timed practice matters. Each subject is two hours. Take at least three full timed practice tests before exam day.
