The Midwifery Licensure Examination (MLE) is the PRC board exam for midwives in PHL.
What MLE tests
3 subjects across 2 days:
- Maternal and Child Care, Health Care of Mother and Child During the Childbearing Cycle
- Primary Health Care, Inter-Personal Relationship and Professional Growth and Development
- Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology
Each subject ~3-4 hours, ~100 items.
Pass criteria
- Weighted average ≥ 75
- No subject below 60
MLE pass rate
National pass rate ~50-65%.
