ECE Board Pass Rate: Recent PRC Results
The official numbers
From PRC's results releases (passers ÷ examinees):

In 2025 as a whole, 2,320 of 5,139 ECE examinees passed (45.1%).
The ECT (Electronics Technicians) exam is separate and easier to pass; don't mix the two numbers up.
Why people fall short
You must score at least 70% in each subject (RA 9292, Sec. 16). If you pass a majority of subjects and score 60–69% in the rest, you get one removal exam in those subjects; failing it means failing the whole exam.
That per-subject rule is the main reason. A candidate with a strong average can still fail because one subject sits in the 60s or lower. The heavy afternoon papers, Electronics Engineering and EST (30% each), are where most people lose ground.
Habits worth copying
These are common-sense patterns, not PRC statistics:
- Build every subject to a safe margin above 70% instead of chasing a high score in one.
- Solve a lot of problems; the ECE board is computational.
- Take several full timed practice exams before exam week.
