ECE Mock Test Strategy: Practice Exams for the 2-Day Board

The ECE board is a two-day exam of four subjects:

DayTimeSubjectWeight
18 AM–12 NNMathematics20%
11–6 PMElectronics Engineering30%
28 AM–12 NNGeneral Engineering and Applied Sciences (GEAS)20%
21–6 PMElectronic Systems and Technologies (EST)30%

You must score at least 70% in each subject (RA 9292, Sec. 16). If you pass a majority of subjects and score 60–69% in the rest, you get one removal exam in those subjects; failing it means failing the whole exam.

4—EST

61 (exam conditions)—

Scoring

Score each subject on its own against 70%. Don't average them: the ECE board doesn't. Any subject under 70% is your next focus.

Rehearsing

Follow the real timing: 4-hour morning papers and 5-hour afternoon papers. PRC doesn't publish item counts, so use timed sets from your reviewer and answer every item.

Where to get practice questions

PRC doesn't release past ECE papers. Use board reviewers with worked solutions or a review center's practice exams.
