Month-by-month USTET plan
Weeks 1–2: Diagnostic
Mental Ability, English, Mathematics and Science
- Take a timed practice set in all four areas
- Time the mental ability questions separately
- List your weakest area
Weeks 3–5: Mental ability and English
Speed on reasoning items
- Daily pattern, analogy and logic drills
- Grammar and reading practice
- Time yourself from the start
Weeks 6–8: Mathematics and science
Senior-high foundations
- Review algebra, geometry and basic trigonometry
- Practice general science across biology, chemistry and physics
- Redo missed questions weekly
Final 2 weeks: Sitting readiness
Your grades count too — the test is the part you can still move
- Sit two timed practice sets
- Review weak areas only
- Check your assigned date, time and UST's bag rules

How long should I prepare for the USTET?
Most takers plan for 8–12 weeks of steady review, longer if the fundamentals are rusty. What matters more than the number of weeks is a daily slot you keep and regular timed practice.
How do you pass the USTET?
UST doesn't publish a pass mark. Part of your USTET result comes from your high-school grades.
When is the next USTET?
The next USTET sitting is on 6 December 2026. Results are due in the second quarter of 2027.
