REE Board Exam: Format, Subjects and Passing Rule
The Registered Electrical Engineers Licensure Examination (REE board) is PRC's licensure exam for electrical engineers under RA 7920. It runs twice a year.
The format
Three subjects over two days, paper-based, per PRC's September 2026 program:

PRC changed the subject order from the September 2026 sitting onward. Before that (April 2026), Mathematics and ESAS were on Day 1 and EE Professional on Day 2. Check the program for your sitting.
The passing rule
You pass with a 70% general weighted average and no subject below 50% (RA 7920).
Recent pass rates
PRC's last four results: 61.37% (April 2025), 38.92% (August 2025), 57.49% (April 2026) and 49.31% (September 2026).
Key topics
Mathematics: algebra, trigonometry, analytic geometry, calculus, differential equations, complex numbers, statistics.
ESAS: physics, chemistry, engineering mechanics, engineering economics, materials, plus electrical engineering law and the Philippine Electrical Code.
EE Professional Subjects: circuit analysis, electromagnetics, transformers, AC and DC machines, power systems (generation, transmission, distribution, faults, protection), illumination and related professional topics.
