- Transformers, machines, protection, wiring, lighting and grounding fall under EE Professional Subjects (45%, Day 1 afternoon from September 2026)
- Electrical engineering law and the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC) are part of Engineering Sciences and Allied Subjects (30%, Day 1 morning)
You pass with a 70% general weighted average and no subject below 50% (RA 7920).

- Illumination basics and lamp types
- Grounding electrode systems, equipment grounding, surge and lightning protection
The Philippine Electrical Code and EE law
- Know how the PEC is organized (definitions, wiring methods, equipment, special occupancies) and practice finding and applying provisions
- RA 7920 (the New Electrical Engineering Law): scope of practice, licensure, registration
