DLSU DCAT Cutoff and Admission: What DLSU Publishes

DLSU DCAT Cutoff and Admission: What DLSU Publishes

"What's the DLSU cutoff?" gets asked every cycle. The honest answer: DLSU doesn't publish one — no DCAT cutoff, no programme cutoffs, no admission rate and no applicant count. Tables online giving "22% admission" or "target 85+ for Computer Science" are guesses, and they contradict each other.

This post covers what you can actually control. The DLSU DCAT pillar guide covers dates and the test itself.

What DLSU does tell you

• The test is the DLSU College Admission Test (DCAT).
• For AY 2027–28, applications run 15 July – 30 September 2026 through Archers Hub.
• Applicants list three programme choices, ranked.
• Results "will be communicated later" — DLSU hasn't announced a release date.

Using your three choices well

1. First choice: the programme you genuinely want most.
2. Second choice: a realistic alternative in a related field.
3. Third choice: a programme you'd still be glad to take that's likely less in demand.

Popular programmes attract more applicants per slot, so they're harder to enter — but because DLSU publishes no figures, you can't know by how much. Don't fill all three slots with the most in-demand programmes.

Strengthen what you can

• Prepare properly for the DCAT — English and reading, math, science and mental ability are what past takers report.
• Keep your grades up through the rest of Grade 12.
• Apply to other schools in parallel. For AY 2027–28, the ACET ran in September–October 2026, and the USTET runs from October 2026 to January 2027.
