CEU Entrance Exam: The Complete Guide for Filipino Applicants

Centro Escolar University (CEU) admits first-year students on a rolling basis through its online admissions portal. You'll often see its test called the "CEUET" online, but that name doesn't appear in CEU's own materials — this guide calls it what CEU does: the entrance examination.

1. How CEU admission works

• Rolling admission. For SY 2026–27, CEU's admission opened on 1 August 2025, and entrance examinations ran from August 2025 to 14 July 2026.
• SY 2027–28: CEU hadn't posted the new window when we checked. If it follows last year's pattern, admission opens around August 2026 with rolling test dates — confirm with CEU Admissions before planning around it.
• Documents. CEU's first-year requirements list asks for your Form 138 / Grade 12 report card (or PEPT/ALS result), a certificate of good moral character, your birth certificate and a 2x2 photo.
• Programme-specific tests. Some programmes — Dentistry, Pharmacy (PharmD), Medicine and Law — run their own admission tests. Check your programme's requirements.

CEU's official sites don't publish the entrance-exam fee, applicant numbers, admission rates or programme cutoffs.

2. What the entrance exam covers

CEU doesn't publish an official breakdown of its entrance examination. For general college readiness, prepare the core areas that every Philippine college entrance test draws on:

1. English — grammar, vocabulary, reading
2. Mathematics — algebra, geometry, basic trigonometry, statistics
3. Science — biology, chemistry, physics, earth science
4. Reasoning — series, analogies, simple logic

If you're applying to a health programme, give biology and chemistry extra time.

3. The 60-day prep plan

About two to three hours a day for eight weeks.

Weeks 1–2: Diagnose

A timed practice set across English, math, science and reasoning. Find your two weakest areas.

Weeks 3–6: Targeted practice

• Mon/Wed/Fri (90 min): your weakest area (for many health applicants, that's science depth)
• Tue/Thu (90 min): your second-weakest area
• Saturday (3 hrs): mixed timed practice
• Sunday: rest

Weeks 7–8: Timed practice

Two full timed sets a week, with a review day after each. Rest before your test date.

4. Fee waivers

Under RA 12006, the Free College Entrance Examinations Act, private universities must waive entrance-test fees for natural-born Filipino applicants in the top 10% of their class whose families are below the poverty threshold. Ask CEU Admissions if you qualify.

5. Keep other options open
