PUP doesn't publish an official PUPCET breakdown. Past takers report multiple-choice sections in language proficiency (English and Filipino), reading comprehension, mathematics, science and abstract reasoning. PUP doesn't publish a pass mark or a pass rate.

Month-by-month PUPCET plan
Weeks 1–2: Diagnostic
PUP publishes no breakdown, so cover the reported areas
- Take a timed practice set: language, reading, math, science, abstract reasoning
- List weak topics
- Set a daily 45-minute slot
Weeks 3–5: Language and reading
English and Filipino
- Daily grammar drills in both languages
- Timed reading passages
- A vocabulary list from your mistakes
Weeks 6–8: Math, science and abstract reasoning
The problem-solving areas
- Review algebra and basic geometry
- General science practice sets
- Pattern-recognition drills
Final 2 weeks: Sitting readiness
Batch day
- Sit two timed practice sets
- Review weak topics only
- Print your ePermit and check your batch date and campus

How long should I prepare for the PUPCET?
Most takers plan for 8–12 weeks of steady review, longer if the fundamentals are rusty. What matters more than the number of weeks is a daily slot you keep and regular timed practice.
How do you pass the PUPCET?
PUP doesn't publish a pass mark or a pass rate.
When is the next PUPCET?
The last PUPCET was held on Sunday batches from 18 January to 8 March 2026. The next one is expected in January–March 2027 but hasn't been announced by PUP yet. Last cycle, Sta. Mesa applications ran 10 November – 31 December 2025, so expect applications around November 2026.
