Common questions about preparing for this exam
Three to four months. The exam covers five subjects — Theories of Personality, Abnormal, Assessment, IO Psych, and Statistics. Statistics is where most takers slip; drill it from week one.
PRC requires a general weighted average of 75% with no subject below 60%. Failing one subject — usually Stats — has knocked out otherwise strong takers, so don't leave it for the final fortnight.
PRC moved the exam to August (Aug 19-20, 2026), not October. Application opens through online.prc.gov.ph six to eight weeks before. The Psychologist exam runs the same window.
