The exam in brief
Mathematics (algebra and geometry), English (grammar, composition and reading comprehension) and the SPMA abstract-reasoning test (verbal and numerical reasoning, pattern analysis). PMA doesn't publish the item count or duration. PMA doesn't publish a pass mark. 5.82% of examinees passed in 2025, and passers still go through the physical fitness test, medical exams and interviews.

Month-by-month PMAEE plan
Weeks 1–2: Diagnostic
Mathematics, English and the SPMA
- Take a timed practice set in all three
- Note your weakest area
- Set a daily 60-minute slot, and start PFT training too
Weeks 3–5: Mathematics
Algebra and geometry
- Daily algebra and geometry problems
- Word problems without a calculator
- Redo mistakes a week later
Weeks 6–8: English and the SPMA
Grammar, composition, reading; verbal and numerical reasoning, pattern analysis
- Grammar and reading drills
- Pattern and sequence puzzles
- Timed mixed sets
Final 2 weeks: Exam readiness
The written exam is step one

How long should I prepare for the PMAEE?
Most takers plan for 8–12 weeks of steady review, longer if the fundamentals are rusty. What matters more than the number of weeks is a daily slot you keep and regular timed practice.
How do you pass the PMAEE?
PMA doesn't publish a pass mark. 5.82% of examinees passed in 2025, and passers still go through the physical fitness test, medical exams and interviews.
When is the next PMAEE?
The last PMAEE was held on 11 July – 6 September 2026, in five regional legs at 48 testing centers. The next one is expected in July–September 2027 but hasn't been announced by the Philippine Military Academy yet. In 2025 and 2026 applications opened around March at admission.pma.edu.ph, with testing from July to September.
