The exam in brief
Two days, paper-based, six subjects: Pharmaceutical Chemistry (20%), Pharmacognosy and Biochemistry (15%), Practice of Pharmacy (17.5%), Pharmacology and Pharmacokinetics (15%), Pharmaceutics including Jurisprudence and Ethics (17.5%), and Quality Control and Quality Assurance (15%). A 75% general weighted average with no subject below 50%. 57–81% passed in the last three sittings.

Month 1: Map the subjects

Month 2: First half of the syllabus
Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy & Biochemistry, Practice of Pharmacy

- Answer practice questions after each chapter
- Keep an error log
Month 3: Second half of the syllabus
Pharmacology & Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutics, Quality Control & Assurance

Preparation time, passing rule and the next exam date
How long should I prepare for the Pharmacy Licensure?
Most reviewees plan for three to six months, depending on how recently they finished their degree. Map every subject first, then give more weeks to the heaviest and weakest subjects.
How do you pass the Pharmacy Licensure?
A 75% general weighted average with no subject below 50%. 57–81% passed in the last three sittings.
When is the next Pharmacy Licensure?
The last Pharmacy Licensure was held on 15–16 October 2026. The next one is expected in April 2027 but hasn't been announced by PRC yet. The exam ran in April in both 2025 and 2026. PRC has not published its 2027 exam schedule yet.
