Common questions about preparing for this exam
Four to five months. PhLE covers seven subjects — Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Med Chem, Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacy Laws, and QA. Pharmacology and Pharmaceutics carry the most weight; plan your rotation around them.
PRC requires a general weighted average of 75% with no subject below 50%. Pharmacy Laws and Med Chem are common slip-points — the law subject because it's memorisation-heavy, Med Chem because of the structures.
PRC scheduled the October cycle PhLE for October 15, 2026. The April cycle has already passed. Application opens through online.prc.gov.ph six to eight weeks ahead.
