Common questions about preparing for this exam
Three to four months. LLE covers five subjects — Organisation of Information, Reference & Information Services, Collection Development, Library Management, and IT in Libraries / Foundations. Cataloguing rules are heavily tested.
PRC requires a general weighted average of 75% with no subject below 50%. RDA cataloguing, MARC formats, and the Dewey Decimal / LCC classification systems all show up — don't approximate them.
PRC scheduled the LLE for September 3-4, 2026. LLE is annual. Application opens through online.prc.gov.ph by July.
