The exam in brief
One day, paper-based: General Education (150 items, 2 hours, 40%) and Professional Education (150 items, 3 hours, 60%). A separate "with specialization" track for some degree programs is weighted 20/40/40 with a third test. A 75% general average with no test below 50%. 46–56% of Elementary examinees passed in the last four sittings.

Month-by-month LET Elementary plan
Month 1: Map Gen Ed and Prof Ed
Gen Ed is 40%, Prof Ed 60%
- Take a diagnostic in both tests
- List Gen Ed areas by weakness (English, Filipino, history, math, science and the rest)
- Build a weekly rotation
Month 2: Professional Education
The bigger share of your rating
- Review learning theories, curriculum and assessment
- Answer scenario-based items daily
- Read every explanation
Month 3: General Education
Ten areas, one test
- Rotate the Gen Ed areas each week
- Short mixed sets daily
- Flashcards for facts you keep missing
Final month: Exam readiness
One day: Gen Ed (2 hours) then Prof Ed (3 hours)
- Sit full timed practice tests in the real order
- Revise your weakest test — no test may fall below 50%
- No calculators are allowed, so practice without one

When is the next LET Elementary?
The last LET Elementary was held on 20 September 2026. The next one is expected in March 2027 but hasn't been announced by PRC yet. LET ran in March and September in 2025 and 2026. PRC has not published its 2027 exam schedule yet.
