LET Professional Education review — 40% of your rating
Professional Education is the second LET test: 150 items in 3 hours, worth 40% of a LET Secondary rating. It tests the theory and practice of teaching, and many items are classroom situations where more than one answer sounds reasonable.
The official rules
LET Secondary is one day, paper-based: General Education (150 items, 2 hours, 20%), Professional Education (150 items, 3 hours, 40%) and your Specialization (3.5 hours, 40%). You pass with a 75% general average and no test below 50%. (For LET Elementary, Prof Ed is 60% of the rating.)
The last LET Secondary was held on 20 September 2026. The next one is expected in March 2027 but hasn't been announced by PRC yet. LET ran in March and September in 2025 and 2026. PRC has not published its 2027 exam schedule yet.

Prof Ed items often describe a classroom situation, and the answer that feels right from experience isn't always the one the theory supports. Knowing which theory or principle a question is testing is most of the work.
How to study it
- 1For every practice item, name the theory or principle it's testing
- 2Learn the key terms of each learning theory well enough to tell them apart
- 3Practice situation-based items, not just definitions
- 4Review assessment statistics (mean, median, validity, reliability) until you can apply them
- 5Keep an error log of the principles you mix up
