The exam in brief
Three days, paper-based, six subjects: Criminal Law and Jurisprudence (20%), Law Enforcement Administration (15%), Crime Detection and Investigation (20%), Forensic Science (15%), Criminology (20%) and Correctional Administration (10%). A 75% weighted average with no subject below 60%. If your average passes but a subject is below 60%, the result is deferred: you get one retake of that subject within two years and need at least 80%. 51–66% passed in the last four sittings.

Month 1: Map the six subjects

Preparation time, passing rule and the next exam date
How long should I prepare for the CLE Criminology?
Most reviewees plan for three to six months, depending on how recently they finished their degree. Map every subject first, then give more weeks to the heaviest and weakest subjects.
How do you pass the CLE Criminology?
A 75% weighted average with no subject below 60%. If your average passes but a subject is below 60%, the result is deferred: you get one retake of that subject within two years and need at least 80%. 51–66% passed in the last four sittings.
When is the next CLE Criminology?
The last CLE Criminology was held on 1–3 August 2026. The next one is expected in February 2027 but hasn't been announced by PRC yet. CLE ran in February and August in 2025 and 2026. PRC has not published its 2027 exam schedule yet.
