The exam in brief
Two days, paper-based, three subjects: Principles of Structural Analysis and Design (35%); Applied Mathematics, Surveying, Transportation and Highway Engineering, and Construction Management (35%); and Hydraulics and Geotechnical Engineering (30%). A 70% weighted average with no subject below 50%. 29–37% passed in the last four sittings.

Month-by-month CELE plan
Month 1: Map the three subjects

How long should I prepare for the CELE?
Most reviewees plan for three to six months, depending on how recently they finished their degree. Map every subject first, then give more weeks to the heaviest and weakest subjects.
How do you pass the CELE?
A 70% weighted average with no subject below 50%. 29–37% passed in the last four sittings.
When is the next CELE?
The last CELE was held on 26–27 September 2026. The next one is expected in March or April 2027 but hasn't been announced by PRC yet. CELE ran in April and November in 2025, then March and September in 2026. PRC has not published its 2027 exam schedule yet.
