NAPOLCOM PNP Entrance Exam 2026: Complete Preparation Guide

What is the NAPOLCOM PNPE?

The NAPOLCOM PNP Entrance Examination is the eligibility exam for aspiring Philippine National Police officers. Around 40,000–75,000 applicants take it per cycle, and the Commission runs two cycles a year — typically March and October.

2026 Schedule

Next cycles: March 2026 and October 2026. Applications open about 60 days before. Confirm with NAPOLCOM.

Exam Structure

Five test areas, each weighted differently:

• Verbal Comprehension — grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension.
• Numerical Ability — basic arithmetic, number series, word problems.
• Logical Reasoning — inference, syllogisms, pattern recognition.
• General Information — PH Constitution, current events, civic topics.
• Police Subjects — PNP laws, police procedures, RA 6975.

Passing means a 70% general average. Civil service eligibility is also required for regular appointment, so factor that into your timeline.

10-Week Review Plan

Weeks 1–2: diagnostic mock; identify weakest test area. Build the review calendar around that weakness. Weeks 3–6: rotate 4 test areas daily (30–45 min each). Police Subjects gets a longer block because the content is unique and harder to cram. Weeks 7–8: timed section drills, weekly full-length mocks. Weeks 9–10: 2 mocks per week; final recall only in the last 3 days.
