The exam in brief
150 multiple-choice test items plus a 10-item personal-data questionnaire, in 3 hours 5 minutes. Half is General Ability (verbal, analytical, numerical) and half is jail-service content: jail management and operations, rules for the treatment of persons deprived of liberty (Mandela and Bangkok Rules), and special laws such as RA 6975, RA 9263/9592, the Anti-Torture Act and the GCTA law. A general rating of at least 80.00. 16.34% passed in June 2026 and 16.23% in 2022.

Weeks 1–2: Diagnostic
Half general ability, half jail-service content

Weeks 3–6: Jail management and treatment of PDL
20% + 20% of the exam
- PDL classification, custody, searches and contraband control
- The Mandela and Bangkok Rules and the Bill of Rights
- Flashcards for rules you keep missing
Weeks 7–9: Special laws and general ability
10% + 50%
- RA 6975, RA 9263/9592, RA 6713, RA 9745, RA 10592, RA 11362
- Verbal, analytical and numerical drills
- Mix both halves in timed sets
Final 2 weeks: Full practice tests
