ME Board Pass Rate: Recent PRC Results
The official numbers
From PRC's results releases (passers ÷ examinees):

In 2026, 9,980 examinees took the ME board across the two sittings. Rates swing by more than ten points between sittings, so plan for the harder end.
Why people fall short
You pass with a 70% weighted average and no subject below 50% (RA 8495, Sec. 18). A single subject under 50% sinks an otherwise good result, and Power Plant Engineering and Mathematics carry 35% each, so weakness in either costs a lot of points.
Habits worth copying
These are common-sense patterns, not PRC statistics:
- Treat it as a problem-solving exam: solve, don't just read.
- Keep every subject well above 50% before chasing a high average.
- Take several full six-hour practice papers so day three doesn't catch you tired.
