How to become a government employee in the Philippines
The path: Pass the Civil Service Exam → get your eligibility → apply for a government post
Education: No degree is needed to take the CSE (you must be at least 18), but each government post sets its own education requirement

About the Civil Service Exam (Professional)
- CSE Professional has 150 scored items (plus a 20-item personal-data questionnaire) in 3 hours 10 minutes; Subprofessional has 145 scored items in 2 hours 40 minutes. Both are pen-and-paper.
- You pass with a general rating of at least 80.00. The fee is ₱500.
- CSC's 2027 exams are on 14 March 2027 (applications open 2 November 2026) and 8 August 2027.
